Journey in Italy, in short
1 – Wellbeing/Longevity/Health
We encourage healthy lifestyle choices, respecting different roots, cultures and local economies, to try to achieve equality between different civilizations – which does not mean conforming in a monotonous equality but rather opening up to a high-level comparison, with equal reciprocal dignity.
2 – Sustainability/Innovation/Regeneration
With the support of the UN, we concretely support the dialogue and cultural exchange on the principles of the Mediterranean Diet, on its sustainability, circularity and regeneration, and on how it can be harmoniously reflected in the different cultural cuisines of the South and North of the world, in particular African and Chinese, through symposiums, tastings, cooking shows and workshops. In Bakery and I'Mpasta, two patents by Antonella Bondi on the virtuous regeneration of bread and pasta, against food waste, will be illustrated and shared.
3 – Gastronomy Tourism
With Journey in Italy, in a renewed Grand Tour, we explore landscapes and traditions not yet valorized by international tourism, discovering hidden and surprising biocultural riches, valorizing the varied Italian cultural heritage: design, architecture, urban planning, food and wine, art, history, tradition and innovation.
4 – Journey in Design – Design of EveryDay Things
Journey in Design establishes a new international school (Italy and China) aimed at reconciling artistic creation, artisanal method and industrial production. From theory to practice, up to the original product placed on the market in full accordance with the UN “Sustainable Development Goals”.
History, idea, objective, project, product, regeneration: six stages united in a harmonious and concrete flow that composes the great journey of design, at the service of utility, necessity, beauty.

5 – World Gelato Day / Gelato UN Day
The Mediterranean Diet, in its most current form, also includes the use ofcareful about ice cream. By developing recipes that reduce sugar content for over
the 30%, without altering the perception of taste and the intensity of flavours, has arrived at conceiving a healthy and appetizing "Mediterranean ice cream", which respects broadmind nutritional balances.
6- Regenerative Design/ Regenerate Design
A design that tends towards a harmonious fusion between anthropized space and natural context. The tools for this to happen are already available. Thanks to simulation and virtualization, all the effects of the product in its life cycle can be predicted even before the actual design, and goods can be made using recyclable materials and only to the extent strictly required for them to perform their actual function. By deepening the relationships between the needs of the human world and nature, new forms of energy production can also be covered. The basis for all this is the use of data, a fundamental ingredient for the activity of modern design studios.
7- Olfactory Design
Antonella Bondi is an architect of olfactory experiences in the world of food and home design, who likes to create olfactory architectures in which everyone projects their own emotional space, bringing hidden memories to the surface or developing new fantasies. Smell is a key to our inner world and at the same time a representation of who we are.
