Francesca Boragno, gallery owner and owner of the historic Boragno bookshop in Busto Arsizio (VA), who took care of the cultural aspect of Journey in Italy, declared herself enthusiastic about the success of the event: << I am honoured to have contributed to this project, which proposed a journey in Italy through the flavours, scents and essences that speak and tell of this fantastic country >>. The idea for Journey in Italy is to unite a transversal culture made of emotions, which are then found in the stories of the books, in a vast array of different volumes and genres. << Travel literature from 1700 to today tells of citrus scents, all Mediterranean. Journey in Italy takes up the idea of the eighteenth-century journey, not only conceptually, but also physically, bringing the flavours of our land to countries very distant from us in the next events. Selecting the 50 books for this project was a complex but extremely stimulating job: I leave with a thank you and a wonderful memory. >>
