The Mediterranean Diet:
A Living Tradition
The Mediterranean Diet is far from being a rigid model; it has evolved over the centuries, incorporating new foods from around the world without losing its essence. Ingredients such as tomatoes, zucchini, beans and cocoa, once foreign, have become pillars of this dietary approach. This evolution reflects a diversity similar to the dialects of a language, with each region offering its own variation, united by key elements: extra virgin olive oil, grains, nuts, vegetables, legumes, fruits and fish.
Journey in Italy:
Promoting a Modern Mediterranean Diet
Journey in Italy, which recently hosted a seminar on the Mediterranean Diet at the G7 in Syracuse, believes that in addition to promoting Made in Italy products, it is essential to educate on preparation, portions and combinations to maximize health benefits. Journey in Italy organizes seminars, fairs and events to spread this knowledge, supporting producers who preserve the nutritional integrity of their products.
Partnering with FIAO New York, Journey in Italy connects American consumers to the Mediterranean diet through classes, workshops, and cultural trips, providing small Italian businesses with a gateway to new markets. This partnership emphasizes tradition and innovation, educating on a dynamic Mediterranean diet and inspiring healthier, longer lives globally.
